Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

It's been a while since I've gotten the world's first Symbian S60 5th Edition touchscreen phone from Nokia, and through playing with it for the last couple of days, I am able to write a review based on my personal usage. The phone is reviewed with an export set (shouldn't have any difference from the local one except no local warranty & no Come With Music service) based on the latest firmware (V20) which I managed to upgrade thru some means (don't ask me how, google for it). And I will made comparisions with my old phone, N95 8GB as I do not know the FP2 devices before.

Since this is Nokia's mid-range phone (with top-range platform imo), I don't expect the phone to be made out of premium materials. As most had guessed, the entire external casing is made out of plastics. I gotten myself a red set but upon close inspection, the side casing is made out of translucent red plastics with a opaque red plastic strip around it. The back cover is also of plastics and followed the design of current N series back cover. While it's made entirely out of plastics, there's no sign of creaking and feels very solid and well built. As compared to my N95, there's a good improvement in this department. The phone do not have much hardware keys, only volume, camera, power, call and menu keys. The menu and call keys are situated below the screen, the volume and camera keys on the right side and power key on the top, alongside with the 3.5mm jack, charging socket and microUSB slot. Personally, I do not fancy the idea of using micro USB as I find mini USB cables are more common than the former. I myself have more than 5 such cables and now I can't use them on this phone. Well that's me though, some probably don't have this gripe as mine.

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is not the first touchscreen device in Nokia's range. In 2004, the Nokia 7700 was announced, a Nokia Series 90 device that was cancelled before it reached the market. This was followed by the Nokia 7710 which was an upgraded version of the 7700 and became available during 2005. Nokia also produced the UIQ-based Nokia 6708 phone in 2005, but this was not an in-house development and was bought in from Taiwanese manufacturer BenQ.Nokia have also produced a range of Maemo-based Internet Tablets which have a touchscreen interface, but are not mobile phones by themselves (one can connect and use a phone via Bluetooth).

Sony Ericsson W595 Comopolitan Edition

Sony Ericsson probably thinks that its W595 mobile phone needs to freshen up; after all, it has come up with a Cosmopolitan Edition of said phone, adding a floral theme to the phone. What would a theme be without skins and ringtones, right? Well, you’ll be getting a floral charm, custom UI skin and 5 pre-loaded music tracks to go with your new phone. There isn’t any mention of a price point just yet, but I saw my friend fateen use this phone and i try to check it out. So, basically, this phone has a basic application (message, phonebook, and some apps). so there is nothing special about this phone but the exterior of theis phone is really nice and great. for my point of view, if you is a people like used a phone not to enjoy the technology of the phone but more concern about the "look" then this is the phone you should have. so it is an ideal phone for woman?. what say you?. leave the comment or respond in the feedback below~ :)

HTC Desire

With the HTC Desire, I  can access all my business emails, calendar and contacts from my contact directory wherever you are. this phone have 5 megapixels, autofocus, flash, and I can upload your photos straight to Facebook, Twitter or Flickr anytime anywhere . There is a lot of content out there on the web that needs Adobe Flash to give me the best viewing experience. That's why the HTC Desire comes with Adobe Flash support, so no websites are out-of-bounds.  Internet experience better for me as well. just simply pinch to zoom and see the words resize and reflow to fit into the screen. With a pinch of my fingers, I can see all seven of your home screens. So I can easily switch between the weather, my friends social networking updates, my work email and anything else I care to look at. it also includes a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor in the HTC Desire. Which means, I can zip around the Internet, do lots of things at once and flick through my apps in next to no time. All I can see, the phone is almost alike with iphone but the design is look nicer than iphone.

Blackberry curve 8250

Smartphones is the “in” thing right now and users are torn between Android, Symbian, BlackBerry and iPhone. Personally I think that every smartphones has its own attractive value to different individuals. For Mac enthusiast they would prefer to have an iPhone due to their loyalty to the brand and users whom prefer having Windows based application, they would prefer Android phones and Symbians due to its user-friendly applications.

BlackBerry has its own perks that differs it from the other smartphones. The “qwerty” keypad application that sets them aside from other smartphones does not apply anymore due to heavy use of QWERTY keypad on the upcoming models of other smartphones. An application that captures my attention is the BlackBerry Internet System (BIS). For Malaysian use, you have to subscribe to an Internet system offered by your service provider, in order to have BIS on your BlackBerry. The charges differ by service providers. It can go as low as 50 cents per day up to RM3 per day, also up to RM98 per month for prepaid users.

BIS allows BlackBerry users to communicate for free. It has similar functions as other instant messengers accept that it is only applicable for BlackBerry users, and it is free. It allows file sharing, voice notes application, location sharing and picture sharing. It even allows conference chat and group chat.

BlackBerry has a wide range of product, from BlackBerry Pearl to BlackBerry Curve, all the way to BlackBerry Style. The in-trend models right now is the BlackBerry Curve, for its affordable price, BlackBerry Bold, for better application than the Curve, and lastly we have BlackBerry Torch for its style and high performance. Unfortunately BlackBerry Style is not available in Malaysia.

I am a BlackBerry Curve user and I am satisfied with my smartphone. It has BIS functions, GPS, Internet Browser, Emails application and lots more. It has become a habit and routine in my life to have my Curve with me whenever, wherever. So, although iPhone technology surpasses the Curve, it is less complicated to use and does not require constant upgrades. Thus making a BlackBerry Curve, the smartphone of my choice.

Nokia C6

hello everyone! :). today im going to post a review on a phone that i bought few months ago and still using it Nokia C6. C6 is Nokia's latest smartphone to feature both a touchscreen display and a slide-out physical qwerty keyboard. the qwerty keypad slides out from under the screen make life easier when you want to type text messaging. this is because the qwerty keyboard just like a computer keyboard. compare to other latest nokia phone such as nokia C7 or N8. the phone didnt provide qwerty keyboard but only touch screen keyboard. C6 has also included a front-facing camera which is very usefull in my point of view because I can make a video calls with friends and family. with a video call i think it is going to be a useful for business users on the move. All i can say is that  nokia C6 have it all in one phone.this phone have a GPS navigation, 3G, back and front camera, both touch screen and own keyboard, and more than other phone have. so this is one of the best phone so far i have used. i strongly recommend this phone to you if u really like a a phone that has many application and its is free to download at ovi.com.
